1960s spring florals

The other weekend I met up with Ellen of A Wild Tea Party and we headed to the Art Gallery of New South Wales to see the Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera exhibition. It promised to be a lovely spring day so seemed like the perfect opportunity to wear my lovely new dress from Lucky Dry Goods.

I don’t own a lot of pastels but I loved this mint green with the gorgeous, delicate pink embroidered flowers. A pink hat I had purchased ages ago matched perfectly – although looked a bit like a pink mushroom! It was also a good opportunity to take my new basket bag for a test drive. On such a lovely day it was nice to take a stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens which are beautiful at this time of year.

Outfit details: 1960s dress from Lucky Dry Goods, 1950s hat from La Brocanterie, both on Etsy, 1950s style cat eye sunglasses from ASOS, basket bag from Love Me or Leave Me at the Fifties Fair.

All photos by Ellen. Check out her blog A Wild Tea Party.
