Suit up, 1940s style

There aren’t many vintage pieces out there as classic and timeless as a 1940s suit. I love the style of a 1940s suit, with its shoulder pads, a – line skirt and timeless silhouette.  I particular love the shape of this jacket with its dramatic nipped in waist. It also goes perfectly with this grey hat I found at my local Vinnies. This hat is by far one of my best vintage thrifted finds but up until now I never really had an outfit to wear it with.

And the umbrella wasn’t just a random prop – it really had started to rain!

Outfit details: 1940s suit from The Gold Hatted Lovers, hat and shoes thrifted.
