A 1960s ensemble

What is it about the colour red and leopard print – they just work so well together. Ensembles were very popular in the 1960s and were essentially a shift dress with a matching jacket, generally finishing at the knee. They were very popular as “going away” outfits for brides at weddings. I love them!

This stunning red set has the most glorious beading detail on the dress – and the buttons! The gorgeous leopard print hat is also from the 1960s and adds a little bit of zing to the block red. The whole outfit reminds me of one of my favourite Audrey Hepburn looks from Charade (1963).
