Tomorrow we launch our crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for our International Issue Four. I’m a bit nervous – it’s the first time I’ve done crowdfunding – but I’m also excited by all the ideas we have for Issue Four. We’ve already begun working on the content which includes an interview with Burlesque Queen Dita Von Teese ahead of her trip to Australia in September and an interview with Doris Raymond, a veteran of the vintage selling game, who talks about her store in L.A. – The Way We Wore – and the fabulous television show L.A. Frock Stars. I have so many potentially crazy ideas for this issue but we really do need your help. We will be publicising a link to the campaign once it’s live tomorrow and we do encourage people who want to donate to donate early. There are some great rewards thanks to the overwhelming generosity of some amazing people – Trésors, Audrey’s Wardrobe, Evelyn Wood Vintage Fashion House and The Gold Hatted Lovers – but these are limited so be sure to claim a reward early! And please share, share, share!! We’ll be posting updates here as we go.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to my incredibly patient photographer Will who shot the crowdfunding video. I hate being in front of the camera and through numerous rounds of edits he has been so positive. As far as I’m concerned the best part of the video is Georgie, my unbelievably adorable cat, but I now understand why people say you should never work with children and animals.
